Application of Line Steel Pipe

Fluid steel pipeFluid steel pipe is a kind of steel pipe with hollow cross-section and no surrounding seam. It is widely used for conveying fluid, such as petroleum, natural gas, coal gas, water and some solid materials.
In comparison to round steel or other solid steel, with the same bending strength and torsional strength, steel pipe is much lighter. It is a kind of economic cross section steel and is widely used for manufacturing structural parts and mechanical parts, such as petroleum drill pipes, automobile drive shaft, bicycle stand and the steel scaffolding used in construction.
Using steel pipes to manufacture ring-shaped work pieces can improve the utilization ratio of materials, simplify the manufacturing process, save materials and processing time. For instance, rolling bearing ring is widely manufactured by using steel pipes. Meanwhile, steel pipes are indispensable materials of various conventional weapons. For instance, barrel is made by using steel pipes.
According to the shape of the cross section, steel pipes can be grouped into circular pipes and special-shaped pipes. With the same perimeter, the circle's area is the largest, so circular pipes can transport more fluid. In addition, the force on circular cross section is more uniform when the cross section bearing internal and external radial pressure. That is why most steel pipes are circular pipes.
